FinnHEMS is a non-profit company established in 2010 whose operations are financed through government funding from the national budget. In 2024, FinnHEMS received 44.7 million euros in state aid. <\/p>\n

Our most important task is to provide high-quality emergency medical services in sudden and life-threatening situations. With its medical helicopters, FinnHEMS reaches up to 80% of Finns within 30 minutes of an emergency call. <\/p>\n

We are dedicated to continuously improving emergency care together with our partners. We provide safe, high-quality, and equitable emergency care in cooperation with wellbeing services counties and the HUS Group.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

Seven medical helicopter bases<\/h2>
\r\n

FinnHEMS manages seven bases around Finland. Helicopters, vehicles and on-call crew are on standby around the clock. FinnHEMS provides flight crews, helicopters, emergency vehicles, and bases. Emergency care is provided by wellbeing services counties and the HUS Group. <\/p>\n

Helicopter emergency medical services are part of the citizens’ safety net. FinnHEMS is a state-owned company that manages the nationwide system of medical helicopters in Finland in cooperation with wellbeing services counties.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n
